Buxton Opera House stands proudly as one of Britain’s premier provincial theatres, showcasing an impressive line up of approximately 450 performances annually, encompassing dance, comedy, children’s shows, drama, music, pantomime, opera, and even shows on ice! Alongside a vibrant fringe theatre and a robust community and education programme, Buxton Opera House proudly hosts the esteemed Buxton International Festival, the Buxton Fringe Festival and the Gilbert and Sullivan Festival.

Its grand opening was on 1st June 1903 and a meticulous restoration to its original splendour took place in 2001. Buxton Opera House is a stunning Edwardian theatre, one of the finest in Frank Matcham’s architectural portfolio.

"The space was beautifully decorated, with lots of thoughtful touches that made it feel warm and welcoming. The building itself is lovely, and the location couldn’t be better – close to everything we wanted to see and do. I loved this apartment - amazing location, you feel like you are living in a forest looking out on the park. Beautifully decorated throughout, and good quality bed linen/duvets etc Parking was very easy. Plenty of EV chargers in the town and national park.

This property is in a fantastic location in Buxton, with views over the park and a level walk along the Broadwalk into Buxton town centre, it is ideally situated to explore Buxton and all it has to offer.

"The owner has thought of everything and provided a lovely welcome package. We didn't need to rush out on arrival to get a cuppa. The apartment is very spotless, comfortable with plenty of room for 6 adults. Location is convenient and quiet, adjacent to spring gardens and the pavillion. No car required for pooles cavern, walks, food and drink and is only a short walk to the train station. Couldn't ask for more."
